About this font
ChillRound Gothic is Warren2060's rounded rework of the Source Han Sans project: sharp right-angle corners are ground into soft, plump curves, shifting the whole family from rational and plain to friendly and lively - ideal for brand posters, creative packaging, kid-oriented interfaces and social graphics that need warmth. It inherits Source Han's Han coverage and its eight-weight system from ExtraLight to Black, shining at large display sizes while staying legible for body text. Licensed under SIL OFL 1.1, it is free for commercial use across ads, packaging, film, marks and embedded apps, and may be modified and redistributed under OFL with reserved names dropped. It is a dependable pick when you want a sans with character plus a gentle, rounded feel.

Licence and commercial boundaries

The dominant permissive licence for open fonts: free commercial use, modification, embedding and redistribution. Its core duties are that derivatives stay under OFL without the Reserved Font Name, the licence text travels with the files, and the fonts themselves are never sold standalone. Works typeset with them belong wholly to you.
SIL OFL 1.1. Free for every common commercial use (ads, packaging, film, marks, embedded apps, web). Modifications and redistribution must stay under OFL, include the license text and use a new name (reserved names must be dropped).

Is ChillRound Gothic just Source Han with rounded corners?
It is a derivative: strokes and joiners are rounded while coverage and the heavy-sans skeleton are inherited from Source Han, trading austerity for a friendlier, softer look.
