About this font
KNYuanmo from Taiwan's Kingnam Type Foundry is a heavy, rounded, poster-friendly art gothic: thick strokes, a full face, every corner ground smooth, with vertical/horizontal contrast suppressed into a rounded 'variety gothic'. It fuses the force of a hei with the warmth of a yuan - dense, legible and made for headlines and big advertising type. Published through the author's licence and mirrored on GitHub (maoken-fonts/KNYuanmo), it is SIL OFL 1.1 - free for individuals and companies with no payment or attribution. Companions include KN Maiyuan and KN BoboHei.
Where it works best
For variety-show and livestream graphics, e-commerce campaign key visuals, restaurant signage, poster subject lines, package names and short-video thumbnails. The full face asks for whitespace to breathe; avoid body sizes where the heavy strokes crowd.

The dominant permissive licence for open fonts: free commercial use, modification, embedding and redistribution. Its core duties are that derivatives stay under OFL without the Reserved Font Name, the licence text travels with the files, and the fonts themselves are never sold standalone. Works typeset with them belong wholly to you.
SIL OFL 1.1: free commercial use, embeddable, modifiable under OFL with reserved-name rules; no standalone sale. Terms follow Kingnam Type Foundry's notice and the mirrored repository.
