About this font
Jason Handwriting is a genuine handwritten face by Taiwanese designer Yu Ching Sung (Jason): every glyph was physically written with a ballpoint pen on manuscript grids, then finished through type-editing tooling - not a deformation of an existing face. Since 2020 the project has grown into several styles (rounded, refined, cute, POP, xingshu, kawaii-monospaced, flowing, casual, literary) under a standing promise that any legitimate commercial use stays 100% free. It even accepts user-submitted glyph requests. Licensed under SIL OFL 1.1, with no payment or attribution for personal or corporate commercial use.
Where it works best
Perfect for journals, kid-friendly print, restaurant menus and signage, greeting cards and gift wrap, social posts, and humanistic book covers. Use as display where its hand-made warmth lands; avoid long body copy, and note the glyphs are primarily traditional - verify on a project basis.

Licence and commercial boundaries
Licence：SIL Open Font License 1.1
The dominant permissive licence for open fonts: free commercial use, modification, embedding and redistribution. Its core duties are that derivatives stay under OFL without the Reserved Font Name, the licence text travels with the files, and the fonts themselves are never sold standalone. Works typeset with them belong wholly to you.
SIL OFL 1.1: free for all commercial uses, embeddable and modifiable (derivatives stay OFL, respect reserved names); the font file may not be sold alone. Some third-party sites mislabel it non-commercial - trust the SIL OFL text inside the author's repo.
Hard restrictions
