About this font
JetBrains' open monospace, tuned for hours of code reading: extended ascenders and descenders, open apertures, every confusable (0O, 1lI, `') differentiated, leading measured against thousands of real lines; optional programming ligatures, eight weights, variable build, Latin and Cyrillic. Zero-cost migration for IntelliJ and VS Code users made it the new programmer default. In design it equally delivers code-chip labels, terminal-look UI and data ornament.
JetBrains tuned Mono's leading for marathon coding and documents every ligature rule (hundreds of sequences); one toggle removes ligatures cleanly. It also shines in decks and articles - code screenshots on dark grounds at Medium weight are the community recipe.
Where it works best
Editors and terminals, code samples in talks and docs, developer product pages, cyber-poster accents. Picks: Regular/Medium in editors, 700 for emphasis; monospace stays wrong for ordinary prose.

Licence and commercial boundaries
Licence：SIL Open Font License 1.1
The dominant permissive licence for open fonts: free commercial use, modification, embedding and redistribution. Its core duties are that derivatives stay under OFL without the Reserved Font Name, the licence text travels with the files, and the fonts themselves are never sold standalone. Works typeset with them belong wholly to you.
SIL OFL 1.1 - free commercial use including closed-source shipping products, derivatives renamed and OFL-bound, no standalone sales.
