Mikhail Sharanda's face - one of the fastest-growing open UI sans lately: grotesque bones wearing geometric openings, half-round half-square, brisk rhythm; its ExtraBold holds its own in dark-mode brand zones. Sharanda built Manrope on the belief that screen fonts felt too stiff in the hi-DPI era - a hybrid of grotesque counters and geometric curves. Its Medium reads unusually well on dark grey grounds, hence its adoption across dark-theme products; the repo ships a glyph-alternate table for fine typographic control.

The dominant permissive licence for open fonts: free commercial use, modification, embedding and redistribution. Its core duties are that derivatives stay under OFL without the Reserved Font Name, the licence text travels with the files, and the fonts themselves are never sold standalone. Works typeset with them belong wholly to you.

Standard OFL 1.1; the author also sells custom work, while the repo OFL governs the open release.
