About this font
Quicksand by German designer Andrew Paglinawan (2011) is a geometric sans built from clean circles and straight lines - round O, warm double-storey a, friendly g - with a soft, minimal, tech-kid warmth. Five weights plus variable, from light display on dark backgrounds to body labels. A go-to for children's apps, family brands, youth-tech products and lifestyle posters. It layers comfortably with Chinese round gothic or hei, though don't stack it with too many rounded elements elsewhere.
Where it works best
Best for kids-edu UIs, family/maternity brands, warm-tech posters, round badges, event key visuals. 600/700 display, 400/500 body, 300 for light accents on dark. Pair with Chinese rounded or hei - avoid stacking too many rounded elements.
