Donated by Canger Fonts to ZCOOL's charity series in the pandemic year of 2020, Yuyang was the first commissioned family to ship with five weights. Its bones fuse serif contrast (thin horizontals, sturdy verticals) with gothic steadiness, then round almost every corner - bold cuts keep serif feet, sanded to soft spurs - so layouts gain editorial gravity and modern softness at once; critics call it 'new literati Ming'. W02 to W06 run light to heavy on one continuous slope, building full title-quote-body hierarchies effortlessly on the standard GB2312-plus-Latin set. It scores simultaneously on 'free commercial' and 'actually designed', the standout of recent charity CJK fonts.
