ZCOOL Happy Ti
ZCOOL Xiaole
Type specimen
The specimen uses the official Google Fonts subset when available, otherwise a font installed on this device. If neither exists the browser falls back to a system font, so treat the official download page as authoritative.
About this font
Joy, mass-produced with care. Happy Ti grew out of Liu Bingke studio's marker lettering; the 2016 revision followed seven months of fine-tuning after the 2015 debut. Its strokes are plump and rounded, structures cheerfully loose, weight-shifts bouncing yet balanced - hand-journal headlines in font form. All 6,763 GB2312 characters were adjusted by hand, with figures and punctuation sharing the same handwritten vocabulary, avoiding the classic charity-font trap where digits break the spell. It is also on Google Fonts as ZCOOL KuaiLe for direct web use. The revision fixed shaky balances and sticky strokes; still wrong for long reading, now mature enough to headline anything playful.
Where it works best
Natural for mother-and-baby, food and drink pages and labels, campus posters, kids' courseware, stationery and greeting graphics. Craft notes: add 5-10 % letter-spacing, confine it to headlines while body copy returns to Han Sans or PuHuiTi, and enlarge single glyphs as ornaments. Its Google Fonts distribution means web pages embed it without self-hosting - the most web-friendly free handwritten Chinese face available.
