Type specimen
The specimen uses the official Google Fonts subset when available, otherwise a font installed on this device. If neither exists the browser falls back to a system font, so treat the official download page as authoritative.
About this font
Xiaowei is a logo face by birth. Designer Huang Jinyong rebuilt CJK radicals as marks: high stroke contrast, sheared corners, sword-point terminals, simplified yet legible structures - a three-character shop sign without a lettering project. Coverage follows GB2312 plus Latin in one weight; because strokes merge and vanish, some characters are missing or heavily stylised, so proof every glyph. On Google Fonts as ZCOOL XiaoWei for web use, it is most economical exactly where it shines: signage, product-line names and other short-string jobs. The temperament runs feminine and lightly luxe; food, beauty, floristry and coffee brands lead its adoption.
Where it works best
Right for storefront marks, wordmarks, menu and price-tag titles, beauty first-screens, gift-box foil text. Craft notes: it is a large-size, low-count face - beyond twenty characters switch text font; if a character you need is missing, never substitute a lookalike into a trademark filing, drop it or pick another face instead; thin rules and a serif Latin amplify its quiet-luxury air.
