About this font
Caveat is Argentinian type designer Pablo Impallari's high-x-height handwriting face, on Google Fonts since 2015. Inspired by chalkboard and whiteboard lettering, sticky-note scrawl and doodles: naturally wavering strokes, bases sitting a touch below the baseline, and the hesitations of a real hand preserved - unpretentious by design. Four weights plus a variable axis keep it friendly from tiny labels to big posters; the Caveat Brush sister family dials the chalkiness up. Loved for teaching materials, journal-style packaging, cafe menus, travel notes and personal blogs. SIL OFL 1.1 - free commercial use and redistribution, embeddable anywhere, no standalone sale.
Where it works best
For teaching slides and course covers, journal-style packaging, cafe menus and blackboard notices, travel/family/lifestyle content, personal signatures and sticky-note accents, kids' products.
