About this font
Geource Sans by howlingFounts is a mixed-script rounded sans that welds Google Sans' modern multilingual proportions onto the Source Han Sans engineering, harmonising Latin and CJK in width, x-height and weight so Chinese/English mixtures no longer fight each other. It is a strong fit for bilingual UI, brand systems, infographics and multilingual print. A real open build pipeline keeps the sources reproducible; the clean multi-weight hierarchy stays highly legible in interfaces and decks while rounded terminals keep it warm. Licensed under SIL OFL 1.1 - free for commercial use, embedding and modification, with derivatives staying OFL under new names - it is one of the rare open projects built around 'one design for Chinese and Latin together'.

Built for bilingual UI, branding, infographics and decks where Chinese and Latin must sit on one baseline. Use Regular/Medium in interfaces and Bold-plus for display; pairs beautifully with icons and data visualisation.

Licence and commercial boundaries

The dominant permissive licence for open fonts: free commercial use, modification, embedding and redistribution. Its core duties are that derivatives stay under OFL without the Reserved Font Name, the licence text travels with the files, and the fonts themselves are never sold standalone. Works typeset with them belong wholly to you.

What does 'mixed-script' mean here?
Latin and CJK are designed on one system (width, x-height, weight), so mixed copy looks intentional rather than bolted together.
