About this font
jf open huninn is Taiwan's justfont open-source rounded gothic and one of the most beloved free yuan faces in the Chinese world. Mixed from Kosugi Maru and Varela Round's rounded DNA, it swaps black-gothic skeletons for plump, globular corners - light, friendly and mellow. Regular and Bold cover most needs; balanced weight and centring suit signage, kids' content, lifestyle layout and social graphics. Available on the official site, the justfont/open-huninn-font GitHub and via Google Fonts as 'Huninn'. SIL OFL 1.1: free commercial use, embedding and redistribution with no standalone sale; derivatives stay OFL with reserved-name rules.
Where it works best
For food-and-lifestyle brands, kids' and family products, cultural goods and journaling, app onboarding copy, short-video stickers and poster sub-headlines. Best at display sizes and short copy; pair body text with a crisp regular hei. Rounded faces are not for long reading or data-dense layouts - spend the warmth where it counts.
