About this font
Rebuilt from the magic-circle-flavoured Tanukimaji: fully round strokes, bubble terminals, a jaunty tilt that radiates life - the cutest face on Google Fonts. Full kana/kanji plus Latin, one weight. Anime events, kids brands and game UI joy-steps love it; CJK follows JIS coverage, so proof mainland copy character by character.
Yusei Magic descends from Japan's 'magic-circle' fan-lettering tradition; Tasaka regularised its round-with-a-knick-of-mischief soul. Kana outrank kanji in quality; mainland-specific forms (骨, 画 in standard shapes) may render old-style or missing - keep it to buttons, titles and decoration over serious body copy.
A workable stack: for Japan-facing pages, run event titles in Yusei Magic and UI text in Noto Sans JP - similar kana baselines keep the visual jump small. For Chinese marketing art, keep strings under four well-covered characters. It remains one of the few free-commercial magic-circle faces, cutting costs versus licensed novelty brush fonts.

The dominant permissive licence for open fonts: free commercial use, modification, embedding and redistribution. Its core duties are that derivatives stay under OFL without the Reserved Font Name, the licence text travels with the files, and the fonts themselves are never sold standalone. Works typeset with them belong wholly to you.
